Sustainable Peruvian textiles towards the world
The event "Sustainable Peruvian Textiles towards the world" marked the successful closing of the project “Sustainable Impulse for impactful MYPES” and the introduction of the new program "Activate, Grow and Progress" b>. Both projects were executed in collaboration with Aspem and had the fundamental support of the European Union in Peru.
Our mission continues to be to work side by side with Small and Medium Enterprises, promoting their path towards sustainability in the textile sector.
47.8% of mypes in the textile and clothing sector are concentrated in Lima, most of which have not had the opportunity to learn about and therefore implement tools to improve their productivity and their time go hand in hand with caring for our environment.
Given this problem, and within the framework of the Project: Textile Innovation Accelerator: textile MSMEs for their transition towards sustainable and circular business models, Textiles Camones works hand in hand with ASPEM, they planned the Activate, Grow and Progress SUSTAINABLE MYPE Program, which aims to promote and promote the transition to a circular and sustainable model of mypes in the textile sector.
Program stages
1. I know myself
It seeks to ensure that MSEs recognize themselves as an organization, their strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats, and thus structure their organization chart and functions in terms of sustainability.
2. My waste
This stage will provide training, workshops and tools for the registration, monitoring and control of the generation of solid waste in MSEs, the recovery of waste and its recirculation for the creation of new products will also be promoted.
3. My consumption
Its objective is to teach through workshops, training and the delivery of tools for the registration, monitoring and control of energy and water consumption, and finally promote obtaining the first star of the 'Carbon Footprint Peru' Program of the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) for having calculated and reported its carbon emissions.
Objectives
- Recirculate waste for mypes, and turn them into garments
- Recover the decline of MSEs that provide manufacturing services
